Our Chartered Physiotherapists treat a wide range of arthritic and musculoskeletal conditions including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, fibromyalgia and neck/back pain.  Physiotherapy management facilitates patients to achieve and maintain optimal function and independence in which self management is strongly encouraged.  This includes carrying out a detailed musculoskeletal assessment and identifying functional limitations.

A treatment plan is then devised in conjunction with the patient.  This may include provision of a specific exercise programme to maintain / improve range of movement, strength and aerobic fitness. Manual Therapy, electrotherapy, moist heat treatments may be used for pain relief or to improve joint mobility. Our treatment will also includes advice regarding equipment e.g. mobility aids, footwear/orthotics and splints.
